Our retail clinicians are highly trained professionals who are affiliated with your local hospital system–and they are conveniently available inside where you shop. They are uncommonly good at taking care of you when you are sick, treating anything from colds to stomachaches to minor cuts and bumps.
Everyone one year of age and up is welcome. Our walk-in medical clinics are conveniently located inside select Weis, Kings and Mr. Z's Markets. We're open every day, including weeknights, weekends and holidays, with little to no waiting. The average visit takes less than 20 minutes, the amount of time it takes to pick up some milk and eggs.

A: Careworks walk-in medical clinics offer quick, convenient and affordable treatment for many common illnesses as well as routine tests. Careworks clinics are staffed by certified family nurse practitioners and physician assistants. The clinics are conveniently located in select Weis, Kings and Mr. Z's Markets throughout Northeast PA and the Lehigh Valley area. The retail setting allows people on the go to get medical attention quickly and efficiently.
Q: What does Careworks treat?
A: Careworks' certified nurse practitioners and physician assistants treat common medical illnesses such as strep throat, ear infections, pinkeye, seasonal allergies, flu and more. They also provide school, camp, sports, driver's license and pre-employment physicals. They give immunizations for tetanus, MMR, flu, meningitis, Hepatitis A and B and more. Careworks also draws blood for all laboratory tests.
Q: When are Careworks walk-in clinics open?
A: Careworks walk-in medical clinics are open every day, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Hours are 8 am - 8 pm Monday through Friday, and 10 am - 4 pm Saturday and Sunday with daily lunch breaks from 2 to 2:30 p.m.
Q: Can I stop in anytime?
A: Yes. We are a walk-in clinic, so stop by anytime. You do not need an appointment.
Q: How long will it take? Will I have to wait?
A: A typical clinic visit will last 15 to 20 minutes. If someone else is being seen in the clinic when you arrive, you can take a restaurant-style pager to carry with you while you shop. You will be notified when the clinician is available.
Q: Who is eligible for services at a Careworks walk-in clinic?
A: Services are available for children and adults ages one year and older.
Q: Do I need to have health insurance to receive treatment at Careworks?
A: No! With or without insurance, you can receive treatment at Careworks.
Q: How much will my visit cost?
A: Careworks is care that work for tight budgets. Most visits are just $49.00. All fees are considerably less than a visit to an urgent care setting or emergency room. Cash, personal check, VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are all accepted.
Q: Will my health insurance cover my visit?
A: Careworks services are covered by many insurance plans. Just check with the certified nurse practitioner or physician assistant when you check in. If we have not contracted with your insurance, we recommend calling your insurance provider to ask if you can submit a receipt and visit summary for reimbursement.

A: If they believe a health condition is potentially serious, they will advise you to seek care from your family physician immediately. If you do not have a family physician, with your permission, they can arrange a referral to one.
Q: Can I go to Careworks in an emergency?
A: Careworks is not intended to be a substitute for an emergency room. In a true emergency, call 911 or go to a full-service emergency room.
