Geisinger Careworks Walk-In Clinic will open at 3 West Olive Street, PA, on December 1.  If you have an immediate need to see a provider but your provider is not available, Careworks offers healthcare when you need it most.  The clinic will be open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 9 pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm.  No appointment is necessary.

Careworks accepts most insurances and they will bill your insurance.  Office visit co-pay applies.  Typically, a co-pay at a walk-in clinic is significantly lower than an ER co-pay, however, insurance is not required.  Careworks also offers affordable time-of-service payment discounts.  Patients without insurance will pay $80 for basic clinical services, while lab and X-ray services will cost extra, if required.

Careworks Walk-In Clinic physician assistants and certified nurse practitioners treat injuries or illnesses that require immediate treatment but may not be serious enough to warrant an emergency room visit.

Services and treatments provided by Careworks Walk-In Clinic include, but are not limited to, cold and flusymptoms, upper respiratory infections, earaches, headaches, sinus infections, sore throat, allergiesinsect bites, ringworm, minor burns and rashes, camp, school and sports physicals, sprains and  strains, lacerations, back pain, and sutures.  Additional services include routineimmunizations and screenings, labs, X-rays, EKG, IV dehydration management, phlebotomy and blood pressure checks.

The Geisinger Careworks clinic will mark the county’s second Careworks facility, joining the Clarks Summit clinic at 1020 Northern Blvd. in the Weis Market.  Careworks also operates two other retail clinics in Tannersville and Stroudsburg, PA, located within Weis Markets, after-hours clinics in Dallas and Mountain Top in Geisinger facilities, and a walk-in clinic in Danville in the Weis Plaza.
